Talofa lava lo'u aiga ma uo!
This past week has been such a good one. I thought of a different way to write my emails to make them a little more interesting and organized. I'll still share the days, but the highlights of each day will be based on the spiritual, social, physical, and intellectual aspects. So it'll look a little like this:

So yeah, I hope it works for me and yous. If I can't think of something for a certain category, then I just won't include it. Also, I cut out Spiritual Thought because I always share spiritual stuff throughout the days. Don't be afraid to email me back about anything! I love hearing from you!
Aso Tofi
- Spiritual: Sister Kiso and I taught a boy named PJ the fourth lesson to prepare him for his baptism on Saturday. I bore my testimony to him about repentance.
- Intellectual: I figured out how to read Roman numerals so I can navigate my Tusi Paia (literally Book Holy -> Holy Book -> Holy Bible), lol.
Aso Faraile
- Spiritual: Sister Kiso and I taught Keleofa, the girl we taught the first lesson to last week and gave a Book of Mormon to, the second and third lesson. I felt good about it and shared my testimony to her that God loves her. (He loves you too if you didn't know that already)
- Social: The STL's (Sister Training Leaders: Sister Loulanting and Sister Taleni) stopped by after the fafaga for splits! That meant Sister Loulanting was my companion for the night and the next day here in Sili while Sister Kiso went with Sister Taleni to her area.
- Physical: I don't know if this counts as physical, but I wanted to share it anyways, lol. At our fafaga, a boy farted twice while we ate and Sister Kiso laughed loudly each time, haha.
Aso Tona'i
- Spiritual: PJ's baptism! Sister Loulanting and I cleaned and filled the baptismal font before meeting some of the members. I was able to share the same scripture (2 Nephi 9:20-21) and testimony in each home we visited, and it felt so good to share. Sister Kiso, Sister Taleni, and the ZL's (Zone Leaders: Elder Kaitapu and Elder Christensen) came for PJ's baptism. I'm so glad to be a part of PJ's spiritual progression and to have witnessed his first step on the covenant path.
- Social: Sister Loulanting is an angel and told me what the people thought of me. She said they notice me and see my light. Hearing that lifted my spirits a lot. I used to feel invisible since I can't really speak and comprehend much. But after that, I knew the Lord was comforting me and giving me the nudge to keep trying and to keep working hard to learn the language so that I can connect deeper with the people.
- One of the people Sister Loulanting and I visited was the second counselor in Sili 1st Ward. He told us about his conversion story from being strongly Catholic and it reminded me of the power that the Spirit holds. As we live and share the truth and our testimonies of the truth, the Spirit will bear witness (back you up).
- Physical: Nearly got trampled by a herd of cattle, haha. Jks, I'm exaggerating. After our fafaga, two girls from the family were walking us from their home to the river. Two other kids were herding cattle through the direction we were headed, so we had to take a few steps back and let them through. One kid tripped while herding and it made one of the girls laugh, haha.
- Intellectual: Google translate's a lifesaver, fr lol.
- Oh, also, I felt a little more confident to talk by the end of the day. So I tried striking up conversation with the girl who laughed at the kid who tripped. Didn't last very long due to my lack of comprehension, but I'm just glad I opened my mouth, lol.
Aso Sa
- Spiritual: All three Sacrament Meetings were da bomb. I nearly cried when primary children sang, lol.
- I finally got to introduce/share my testimony to Sili 2nd. The other times I couldn't was because 1. Sister Kiso and I stayed with the Faaala Sisters (Sister Jensen and Sister Samuelu) cause our MQ water wasn't working. 2. The bishop forgot to let me share. 3. I was sick.
wow, this was my fourth Sunday here in Samoa. - Anyways, Keleofa came to church and we taught her the fourth lesson and invited her to be baptized after I shared my testimony. She said yes!
️ I was so happy! - We also taught a Catholic named Emmanuel and a recent convert about the first principles and ordinances of the gospel: 1. Faith (Faatuatua) 2. Repentance (Salamo) 3. Baptism (Papatisoga) 4. The gift of the Holy Ghost (O le meaalofa o le Agaga Paia). I gave my thoughts on salamo and shared a testimony in the end.
- Social: The kids are so cute.
Aso Gafua
- Spiritual: Zone Conference! All the missionaries in Savaii got together in a chapel to have zone conference with the mission president and his wife. Maaaan the Reids are so inspiring. Anyways, since this is the spiritual category and it was a long conference, I'll share the times I felt the Spirit.
- I always feel the Spirit when we sing hymns because everyone is unified in praising the Lord.
- Pres. Reid showed us the statistics of the work we do and it helped remind me that I'm not alone in the work. Many of us are working hard to bring the Lord's truth to His children, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
- Sister Reid reminded us of our heavenly angels (our ancestors). I felt the Spirit this time because I was literally researching about my Grandpa Barney in the Gospel library app lol. I wanted to see if he was mentioned anywhere since he was the principal of CCNZ (Church College of New Zealand). After that, I felt closer to him and I can't wait to meet him at Resurrection. Even though I don't have a single ounce of Samoan in me, I know my ancestors are watching over me as I do the Lord's work.
- A Sister who's finishing her mission shared her testimony and it was powerful. Love and treat others the way you want to be treated.
- Social: I saw lots of other missionaries, lol, and my MTC brother, Elder To'omata.
- Intellectual: We had Singing Time with Sister Reid. So we basically learned how to sign the song "A Child's Prayer" while singing it. I loved it, it was fun.
Aso Lua
- Spiritual: District Meeting. 3 John 1:4
- Social: Spent the day with the Wrights (missionary couple of Savaii)! They're so nice and do a lot for us missionaries. I'm grateful for them.
- Physical: I made it a goal to exercise everyday, and I love it.
Aso Lulu
- Spiritual: If you get tempted easily or are going through a tough time, read The Book of Mormon first thing in the morning (after praying of course). It's helping me a lot
Alrightyyyyyy, if you got this far, send proof by sharing your favorite scripture, lol. Jk, I just wanna know if anyone actually reads these. Anyways, I hope you got something out of this. Just know that the Lord sees you and wants to help you or is helping you, you just have to notice the little things
