This is it everyone! We're leaving for Samoa this week!
My Week
Maaan I can't believe it. Time flew by just like that. This last week in the MTC has just been reminiscing, lol. I'm honestly sad to leave, but I'm excited (and terrified) to finally get out there to Samoa. I love everyone here and I'm going to miss them so much.
Elder Wolfgramm and I finally gave our musical number for Sacrament Meeting on Sunday. He sang while I played the piano. The song was an arranged version of "Where Can I Turn For Peace?". I messed up a few times, but knowing how hard I practiced to finally perform and share the Spirit through music, it was all worth it. Since it was our (Samoan districts, Tongan district, and Marshallese district) last Sunday here, we sang "God Be With You Till We Meet Again". The first verse in Marshallese, second verse in Tongan, third verse in Samoan, and then first verse again with everyone singing in English. I cried, and so did some Elders, haha. I was a bit emotional yesterday from the thought of leaving everyone that I've grown to call my brothers and sisters. So I shed a lot of tears yesterday, lol. After the "Go and Do" Experience, we went to the departure devotional, where I cried a third time that day. The second time was during "Go and Do", haha. I only cried at the end of the devotional because we sang "We'll Bring The World His Truth". That song always makes me emotional since my cousins and I sang it at my Grandma Barbara's funeral. I know I'll be reunited with her again and everyone I've come to love here at the MTC, thanks to Christ's Atonement and God's plan of salvation. The more I learn about Christ's love for us, the more my love for everyone grows.
Spiritual Thought:
During my Individual Experience for "Go and Do", I just listened to the music and wrote down whatever came to my mind and heart. My favorite song I stumbled upon was "The Miracle" by Shawna Edwards. I know that Jesus is a God of miracles and that His greatest miracle is the one that rescues you and me: His Atonement. I invite you to listen to that song and ponder on its lyrics. When you do, you'll come to know the love Jesus Christ has for you. I le suafa o Iesu Keriso, 'amene.
